OPITO introduce pre-requisite requirement for Helideck Operations Initial Training (HOIT)

What has changed?

This month OPITO finalised the first amendment to the Helideck Operations Initial Training standard, following its initial release in July 2017. The key amendment made was the introduction of a pre-requisite requirement – “as a minimum, delegates much complete an IATA, HCA, CAA or state aviation approved dangerous goods awareness training course”.

How can we help?

Cresent has, for some time, offered an awareness level Transportation of Dangerous Goods by Air (Awareness Level) e-learning course. This course is already widely used by the oil and gas industry and allows delegates to undertake and complete the course at anytime, anywhere.

The course has been designed in partnership with DANGO Training Services Ltd, the international dangerous goods by air training providers, and has been written in accordance with IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations and the ICAO Technical Instructions for safe transportation of dangerous goods by air. DANGO Training Services Ltd is an IATA accredited school and Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) approved training provider.

By using our e-learning course as a pre-requisite you will both save time and money. The pre-requisite requirement could mean that delegates need to complete a 1-day classroom awareness dangerous goods course first which is neither convenient nor cost effective prior to completion of the 3-day course.

Our e-learning course takes around 60 minutes and on completion delegates can progress on to their HOIT classroom course.

Let us help you reduce costs and save time. Get in touch today to discuss further.
