Site Safety Orientations
Multi-language safety related DVD suite covering multiple locations
Task:
All personnel and visitors to CABGOC's Angolan land and offshore facilities needed to be educated in key work practices, policies and procedures.
The information had to be delivered in a consistent manner to a multi-national workforce to convey the key learning objectives in employee safety, protecting the environment and conducting safe and effective operations.
Solution:
Development of a multi-language DVD suite each comprising six primary modules to deliver the required information.
A wide variety of media techniques - 3D graphics, broadcast quality video and animation - ensured that the key learning objectives are achieved in an interesting and efficient way.
Results:
CABGOC has observed an increased level of efficiency in operations.
The new induction suite has helped new employees to integrate quickly into CABGOC working environment.
All of CABGOC's multi-national workforce and visitors have a sound understanding of key work practices, policies and procedures.

ConocoPhillips
Supply Chain Procedure
English & Norwegian LMS based e-learning course & assessment
Task:
To provide awareness of ConocoPhillips corporate procurement policies and procedures citing the benefits of following these procedures.
Identifying that the procurement policies and procedures link into ConocoPhilips corporate procedures.
To recognise where employees can locate further information.
Solution:
Development of a modulated e-learning course comprising of three sections, each outlining one of ConocoPhillips main procedures.
Implementation of an interactive menu designed to show the relationship between procedures.
Acquired knowledge is reinforced constantly using questions strategically placed throughout the course, with the trainee sitting a final end of course assessment before course completion.
Results:
ConocoPhillips has noticed an increase in efficiency throughout all levels of procurement.
New starts are integrating faster into the Procurement workflow.
Financial risks are being mitigated as a result of employees adhering to existing policies and procedures.

FMC Technologies
Hazard Identification
Interactive CD based e-learning course & assessment
Task:
Improve hazard awareness amongst employees and contractors working in and around the FMC Manufacturing facility.
Provide individuals with an awareness of potential hazards in not only their own place of work but also in neighbouring departments.
Emphasise that the key to safe work life is to identify the hazards before they can cause harm.
Solution:
An e-learning course split into two modules covering both Hazard Identification and an experiential learning assessment.
Trainees are tasked with navigating through a series of 360° virtual workplace scenarios identifying potential hazards using information taken from previous recorded incidents at the facility.
Each scenario is modelled on an existing place of work. The trainees select items they feel may be a potential hazard.
Results:
FMC has noticed a heightened awareness of hazards in the workplace by employees in all areas.
Recording of potential hazards has increased whilst the number of actual incidents has fallen.
FMC has observed increased efficiency throughout the workplace.
